Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist PRN to join our hospital team. You will provide clinical pharmacy services, guide medication use, and support patient care across our busy department.

Responsibilities include developing and coordinating clinical functions, assessing drug usage, and participating in committees to ensure safe, effective, and cost-conscious medication practices. No travel required.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist license to practice in Texas (TX)
• Bachelor’s or Doctorate degree required
• No travel required
• IV certification (IV Cert)
• At least 2 years of experience required

Responsibilities

• Develops and coordinates clinical pharmacy functions and drug-use processes to support high quality patient care.
• Designs and implements programs to enhance clinical staff skills based on assessments.
• Assesses drug usage processes to identify quality and financial improvement opportunities and implements changes.
• Initiates and evaluates new clinical programs for pharmacy department operations.
• Participates in Pharmacy and Therapeutics, Medication Safety, and Infection Control committees and coordinates activities with the chair and director.
• Assists in integrating clinical services with distributive functions of the department.
• Performs distributive pharmacy duties with staff pharmacists and technicians as needed to maintain operations.
