Job summary

Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, NV, is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist (PRN) to ensure safe and effective medication use. You will monitor therapies, intervene with the care team, and support evidence-based pharmacotherapy. A strong team environment and patient-focused care are emphasized.

Candidates must have B.S. or PharmD from ACPE-accredited school, a Nevada license, and at least one year of hospital experience. BLS is required, ACLS/PALS may be needed depending on area.

Qualifications

• Hospital pharmacy experience (minimum 1 year).
• Active pharmacist license in good standing with the Nevada State Board of Pharmacy.
• BLS required; ACLS/PALS may be required depending on area.

Responsibilities

• Interact daily with pharmacy team, nurses, physicians and staff to resolve drug therapy issues.
• Provide medication information and consultation on pharmacokinetics, dose adjustments, lab tests and monitoring.
• Participate in training of new pharmacists, pharmacy students and technicians.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As a Clinical Pharmacist, your work plays an important role in the care of patients and healthcare providers by assuring the safe and the effective use of medications as needed. The Clinical Pharmacist monitors and evaluates prescribed therapies to promote optimal drug use and evidence-based practices to reduce risks of drug misadventures. We have an amazing team.

• You will have daily interaction with your pharmacy team, nurses, physicians, and other facility staff in the hospital and intervene in conflicts between the Pharmacy and medical staff regarding drug therapy issue resolutions that may arise.
• You will provide medication information and consultation on pharmacokinetics, dose adjustments, laboratory test orders, and medication monitoring according to established policies and procedures.
• You will have the opportunity to participate in the training of new pharmacists, pharmacy students, and technicians.

Qualifications

• B.S. or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
• Minimum of one year of hospital experience
• Active pharmacist license in good standing with the Nevada State Board of Pharmacy
• BLS required
• ACLS and or PALS may be required depending on area working in
