Job summary

Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida, is seeking a Pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care across clinical and distributive functions within a busy hospital setting.

You're responsible for profiling orders, monitoring therapies, and advising on drug information, with opportunities for professional development within the UHS system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (BS Pharm) from an accredited institution.
• Doctorate degree in Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution, preferred.
• Current Pharmacist License in the State of Florida.
• Board Certification (BCPS), preferred.
• Knowledge of hospital based information system, reporting features, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong proficiency in computer literacy including Cerner and Pyxis technologies.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

For ALL Pharmacists: Provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care primarily through providing service excellence, clinical services, distributive functions, education, and a commitment to the department's mission. He/she shall possess characteristics to successfully fulfill their responsibilities, including effective communication, flexibility, attention to detail, initiative, cooperation, and a high level of knowledge and skills applicable to their area of practice. He/she will regularly profile orders for medications, monitor patient's drug therapies, provide drug information, and initiate/modify drug therapy based on medical staff approved policies and protocols.
