Job summary

Manatee Memorial Hospital, part of Universal Health Services, seeks a licensed pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care at our Bradenton, FL campus. You will support clinical pharmacy services, verify orders, monitor therapies, and collaborate with the care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, accuracy, and patient education within a multidisciplinary environment at a major regional hospital.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (BS Pharm) from an accredited institution.
• Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution, preferred.
• Current Pharmacist License in the State of Florida.
• Board Certification (BCPS), preferred.
• Knowledge of hospital information systems, reporting features, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Profile orders for medications and monitor patient drug therapies.
• Provide drug information and counsel patients and staff.
• Initiate or modify drug therapy based on approved policies and protocols.
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure optimal pharmacotherapy.

Position Summary

For ALL Pharmacists: Provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care primarily through providing service excellence, clinical services, distributive functions, education, and a commitment to the department's mission. He/she shall possess characteristics to successfully fulfill their responsibilities, including effective communication, flexibility, attention to detail, initiative, cooperation, and a high level of knowledge and skills applicable to their area of practice. He/she will regularly profile orders for medications, monitor patient's drug therapies, provide drug information, and initiate/modify drug therapy based on medical staff approved policies and protocols.

Qualifications
