Job summary

Chippenham Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Virginia-registered pharmacist to interpret, compound and dispense medications per physician orders. The role focuses on clinical pharmacy services, pharmacotherapy planning and drug information to healthcare teams and patients.

The pharmacist will supervise technicians, comply with policy and participate in quality initiatives to ensure safe, effective and cost-efficient medication therapy in a leading Richmond-area hospital.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy.
• Licensed by the Virginia State Board of Pharmacy by examination or reciprocity.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, compound and dispense medications per physician orders.
• Provide drug information to healthcare professionals and patients.
• Participate in clinical pharmacy services and pharmaceutical care.
• Retrieve and interpret scientific literature to answer drug information requests.
• Design and monitor pharmacotherapy to ensure safe, effective care.
• Support pharmacy department goals and staffing as needed.
