Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; PharmD preferred.
• License: Massachusetts Pharmacist.
• 0-1 years related experience.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Fills prescriptions, resolves discrepancies in patient therapy, and follows-up on problems.
• Provides and documents drug information and patient counseling; documents interventions and ADRs.
• Directs and utilizes personnel including technicians and clerical staff.
• Maintains adequate medication supply; participates in staff in-services and meetings.
• Operates and troubleshoots automated dispensing systems; advises prescribers on non-formulary alternatives.
• Uses outpatient/inpatient systems to access patient care information.
• Participates in quality management and utilization review.
• May coordinate a small team for projects or procedures.
• May assist in training of staff and interns; cross-cover as needed.
