Job summary

Hamilton Community Health Network seeks a licensed Pharmacist in Michigan to compose or dispense prescribed medications and oversee Pharmacy Technicians. You will ensure accuracy, manage drug interactions, and maintain inventory while complying with regulations.

The role requires a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, Michigan licensure, CPR certification, and strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must have high analytical and problem-solving abilities, drawing valid conclusions after consulting data from various sources.
• Must maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all matters.
• Must be CPR certified.
• Must have general computer proficiency.
• Must be licensed to practice in the State of Michigan and have a minimum of three years of experience with current knowledge of pharmacy laws.

Responsibilities

• Review prescriptions for accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients.
• Compound medications using standard formulas and processes.
• Answer questions about drug interactions, side effects, dosage and storage.
• Review patient prescription profiles to prevent interactions.
• Supervise pharmacy staff engaged in mixing, packaging, and labeling.
• Maintain a drug formulary and collaborate with practitioners on therapy and cost.
• Consult physicians and nurses on drug therapy and guidelines.
• Ensure quality assurances, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste.
• Enter data to maintain pharmacy files, charge system, and inventory.
• Uphold professionalism and confidentiality with coworkers and patients.
