Job summary

MyMichigan Health is seeking a pharmacist to screen physician orders and ensure correct medications and dosing across a patient population from birth to the elderly. You will review orders for interactions, allergies, and contraindications, and provide drug information to staff and patients.

The role includes supervising IV and parenteral preparations, leading the pharmacy workflow during shifts, and participating in multidisciplinary rounds to optimize patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy is required, PharmD preferred.
• Current pharmacist license is required to practice.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Screen prescriptions for correctness and appropriate dosing.
• Supervise preparation of IV admixtures and parenteral products.
• Manage pharmacy workflow and provide leadership on the shift.
• Participate in patient care rounds with healthcare professionals to ensure multidisciplinary care.
• Provide drug information to healthcare professionals and patients.
• Assist in maintaining the hospital formulary and inventory.
