Job summary

Intermountain Health St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado seeks a licensed Pharmacist to join our full-time pharmacy team.

This 40-hour-per-week role primarily covers day shifts with occasional evenings and weekend rotations, delivering high-quality medication management and patient counseling. You will review orders, ensure safe and cost-effective therapies, supervise staff, and collaborate with clinicians to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

Doctor of Pharmacy or PharmD/BS in Pharmacy from an accredited school.
Current license to practice in the state.
Immunization certification if applicable to practice site needs.
Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations.

Responsibilities

Reviews medication orders for allergies, duplication, therapy appropriateness, and drug interactions.
Makes evidence-based interventions to optimize medication use.
Ensures safe, appropriate, cost-effective therapies and accurately dispenses medications.
Oversees preparation and delivery of medications, securely stored and properly labeled.
Provides counseling to patients and promotes adherence.
Ensures patient is well informed and receives professional service.
Completes regulatory training and ensures documentation is clear and complete.
Supervises interns, technicians, and support personnel as required.
