Job summary

Sona Pharmacies in Asheville, NC seeks a Pharmacist to provide patient care, immunizations and clinical support. The role includes mentoring technicians and interns and collaborating with Pardee BlueMD on-site.

The ideal candidate holds a PharmD or doctorate, is licensed in North Carolina, and demonstrates strong communication, leadership and customer service in a team-focused community pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Dispenses prescribed medications and recommends appropriate over-the-counter therapies according to professional standards and state and federal requirements.
• Directs pharmacy staff engaged in counting, filling, packaging, labeling, and delivering medications.
• Oversees daily ordering and participates in inventory management.
• Reviews prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness of therapy.
• Certified to provide immunizations (including CPR).
• Meet with patients and caregivers to discuss medication-related issues.
• Counsel on adherence and packaging solutions; motivational interviewing where needed.
• Establish and maintain relationships with physicians and health care professionals.
