Job summary

Charlotte Community Health Clinic, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacist to dispense medications, educate patients, and collaborate with prescribing personnel to ensure safe therapy. The role includes immunizations, supervision of pharmacy staff, and maintaining records in a compliant manner.

The position requires a North Carolina pharmacist license, BLS certification within 90 days, and a graduate degree from an accredited program. Flexible location with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree from an accredited pharmacy program.
• Current BLS certification within first 90 days of employment.
• Valid North Carolina pharmacist license.

Responsibilities

• Compound and dispense medications.
• Review prescriptions for accuracy and determine suitability.
• Check patient charts for allergies and potential interactions.
• Educate patients on dosage, side effects and storage.
• Order pharmaceutical supplies and monitor inventory.
• Discuss OTC medications for therapy compatibility.
• Maintain patient records in compliance with laws.
• Collaborate with physicians and other providers on therapy.
• Provide immunizations to patients.
• Plan, store, label and dispense medications per guidelines.
• Reach out to insurers for prior authorizations.
• Refer patients to other health professionals when needed.
• Supervise pharmacy staff and prepare leadership reports.
