Job summary

The Highmark Health affiliated Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Pharmacist to optimize patient care through review and dispensing of prescriptions, drug information, and supervision of pharmacy staff. The role includes ensuring safe, cost-effective therapies and compliance with regulations, with opportunities to train technicians and residents.

Minimum qualification is a PharmD or Bachelor's in Pharmacy and licensure eligibility in PA and/or NY, with preferred hospital experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).
Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in PA and/or NY within 120 days.

Responsibilities

Process prescriptions: perform prospective drug review and ensure safe, accurate dispensing.
Provide drug information to health professionals and patients; document interventions.
Assist in department management; supervise technical staff and train students.
Maintain safety, compliance with regulations, and a clean work environment.
Triage and delegate nightly activities as Night Pharmacist if needed.
