Job summary

Kennedy University Hospitals, Inc invites an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to oversee the medication distribution system within their area and to ensure each therapy is indicated, effective, safe, and convenient for patients.

The role requires a PharmD or RPH license, knowledge of pharmacokinetics, and ability to monitor responses, promote formulary compliance, and train staff including residents and students across TJUH operations.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) or RPH licensure.
• Knowledge of pharmacokinetic principles for medication dosing.
• Monitor patients for response to medications.
• Identify and document adverse drug events in the electronic system.
• Promote formulary compliance per P&T policies.
• Provide care appropriate to patient age and background.
• RP - Registered Pharmacist - State of Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Interact with co-workers, visitors, and staff in line with Jefferson values.
• Assure appropriateness of drug therapy and compliance with hospital policies.
• Oversee distribution of medications across TJUH.
• Support implementation of processes to assure quality of Pharmacy services.
• Train staff as assigned (residents, interns, technicians, new pharmacists).
• Precept student pharmacists as assigned per policy.
