Job summary

SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital - St. Charles is seeking a PRN Pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical care to patients in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will verify orders, prepare and dispense medications, counsel patients, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe, effective therapy.

This role requires a Pharm.D. or Bachelor of Pharmacy from an accredited school and current pharmacist licensure in one or more states (IL, MO, OK, WI). BLS-HCP within 90 days is required.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Licensure as a Pharmacist in applicable states (IL/MO/OK/WI).
• Resuscitation certification: BLS HCP within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Verify medication orders and dispense pharmaceuticals following policy and regulations.
• Provide clinical consultation and promote safe, cost-effective pharmacotherapy.
• Oversee dispensing processes and supervise technicians/interns as applicable.
• Precept pharmacy students and residents; participate in education activities.
• Maintain safety and readiness through vigilant monitoring and documentation.
