Job summary

AdventHealth Altamonte Ambulatory Infusion Center (AIC) Pharmacy seeks a Pharmacist to educate patients and healthcare teams on safe medication use. You will ensure timely, cost-effective therapy and participate in stewardship, while engaging in direct patient care and rounds to support seamless transitions of care.

Responsibilities include supervising technicians and residents, reporting medication safety events, and optimizing documentation with EHRs and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required for Pharmacist role.
• Doctorate (PharmD) preferred.
• Licensed Pharmacist (RPH) required per state laws.

Responsibilities

• Educate and counsel patients, families, and healthcare team on safe medication use.
• Provide safe, timely, cost-effective pharmacotherapy and participate in stewardship.
• Engage in direct patient care and interdisciplinary rounds for care transitions.
• Supervise and mentor pharmacy staff and students.
• Identify and report medication safety events and adverse drug reactions.
• Proficient use of EHRs, pharmacy informatics, and medication automation.
