Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL seeks a licensed Pharmacist to educate patients and healthcare teams on safe medication use and to optimize therapy with active participation in rounds and transitions of care. You will supervise technicians and contribute to quality initiatives.

Eligibility includes a Pharmacist license and Florida background screening; 1+ hospital experience is preferred, with a focus on documentation and clinical decision support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Doctorate preferred; PharmD field of study.
• Licensed Pharmacist (RPH) required.
• 1+ hospital experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Educate and counsel patients, families and healthcare team members on safe and effective medication use.
• Provide safe, timely, and cost‑effective medication therapy; participate in stewardship and restricted‑use programs.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate pharmacy technicians, interns, students and residents; support team learning and development.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, regulatory compliance and accreditation activities; track performance metrics.
