Job summary

Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City, IL is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to review orders, monitor therapy, and provide drug information across the hospital. This role supports safe medication use and collaborates with the pharmacy team.

The position is full-time night shift with a 7 days on / 7 days off cycle, including supervision of staff and potential interim management duties as needed. Illinois license required.

Qualifications

• Pharm.D. degree from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Illinois Pharmacist license active.
• BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross).
• ACLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross).

Responsibilities

• Review and verify medication orders accurately.
• Monitor medication therapy and provide drug information.
• Support safe and effective medication use throughout the hospital.
• Supervise pharmacy support personnel.
• Participate in medication-use initiatives and process improvements.
• Serve as a resource for pharmacy policies, procedures and regulatory compliance.
• May assume essential pharmacy management responsibilities in the Pharmacy Manager's absence.
