Qualifications

• Pharm.D. degree from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Illinois Pharmacist license active.
• BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross).
• ACLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross).

Responsibilities

• Review and verify medication orders accurately.
• Monitor medication therapy and provide drug information.
• Support safe and effective medication use throughout the hospital.

• Participate in medication-use initiatives and process improvements.

Position Overview

The Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for accurately reviewing and verifying medication orders, monitoring medication therapy, providing drug information, and supporting safe and effective medication use throughout the hospital.

This position also supervises and directs pharmacy support personnel, participates in medication-use and process-improvement initiatives, and serves as a resource for pharmacy policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance. In the absence of the Pharmacy Manager, the Clinical Pharmacist may be required to assume essential pharmacy management responsibilities.

Schedule

This is a full-time night position working a 7 days on/7 days off schedule.

The 7-on/7-off schedule means the pharmacist works seven consecutive nights followed by seven consecutive days off, providing a consistent rotating schedule while maintaining full-time coverage.

Qualifications

Education

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy required.

Licensure & Certifications

• Current Illinois Pharmacist license required.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross required.
• Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross required.

Experience

• Health-system pharmacy experience preferred.
• New graduates are welcome to apply.

Compensation

Annual Salary Range: $106,891 - $160,326

Compensation is determined based on several factors, including education, experience, certifications, skills, and other job-related qualifications. Final compensation will be discussed with Human Resources based on the selected candidate's qualifications and experience.
