Mercy Hospital of Buffalo, part of Catholic Health, is seeking a dedicated pharmacist to join the pharmacy team. The role involves ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while supporting clinical operations in the hospital environment.

The position requires NY State pharmacist licensure, PharmD preferred, and strong supervisory and communication skills. Shifts include days and evenings with weekend/holiday rotation, and the department offers a collaborative, patient-centered atmosphere.

• Graduation from an accredited college of Pharmacy required.

• Pharmacist Doctorate (PharmD) preferred.
• Experience in program and service development, quality assurance, and cost containment programs desirable.
• Two to six weeks orientation depending on experience.

Work Schedule: Days and Evenings with Weekend and Holiday Rotation

Hours: Hours are variable and include the following shifts: 6:00am to 2:00pm/7:00am to 3:00pm/10:00am to 6:00pm/1:00pm to 9:00pm/3:00pm to 11:00pm. Holidays and weekends are assigned on a rotating basis; minimal overnight coverage for PTO requests. This position will be a split position which will include covering clinical tasks in the internal medicine units and staffing operations.

Summary:
In conjunction with the Director Pharmacy, Manager Pharmacy and Lead Pharmacist, ensures compliance with the rules and regulations that govern the practice of the Pharmacy within the hospital and all extension services.

Responsibilities

Education

• Graduation from an accredited college of Pharmacy required
• Professionally licensed in New York State required
• Current registration certificate to practice Pharmacy in New York State required
• Pharmacist Doctorate (PharmD) preferred

Experience

• Demonstrated experience in program and service development, quality assurance, medication use indicator experience, and cost containment programs
• Two (2) - six (6) weeks of orientation, depending on prior experience
