Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the rules and regulations governing pharmacy within the hospital and extension services.
• Assist in staffing operations and cover clinical tasks in internal medicine units.
• Collaborate with the Director Pharmacy, Manager Pharmacy and Lead Pharmacist to ensure optimal pharmacy services.

Work Schedule: Days and Evenings with Weekend and Holiday Rotation

Hours: Hours are variable and include the following shifts: 6:00am to 2:00pm/7:00am to 3:00pm/10:00am to 6:00pm/1:00pm to 9:00pm/3:00pm to 11:00pm. Holidays and weekends are assigned on a rotating basis; minimal overnight coverage for PTO requests. This position will be a split position which will include covering clinical tasks in the internal medicine units and staffing operations.

Summary: In conjunction with the Director Pharmacy, Manager Pharmacy and Lead Pharmacist, ensures compliance with the rules and regulations that govern the practice of the Pharmacy within the hospital and all extension services.

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION

• Graduation from an accredited college of Pharmacy required
• Professionally licensed in New York State required
• Current registration certificate to practice Pharmacy in New York State required
• Pharmacist Doctorate (PharmD) preferred

EXPERIENCE

• Demonstrated experience in program and service development, quality assurance, medication use indicator experience, and cost containment programs
• Two (2) - six (6) weeks of orientation, depending on prior experience
