Job summary

Dignity Health-St. Rose Dominican, San Martín Campus, in Las Vegas, NV, is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to support doctors and nurses by safely prescribing and dispensing medications and by reviewing prescriptions for safety and accuracy.

You will verify orders, monitor for drug interactions, counsel patients, and provide evidence-based recommendations to improve outcomes. The role requires an NV Pharmacist license, BLS certification, and ideally ACLS.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Of Science Pharmacy, or Doctor Of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Review prescriptions for drug interactions, dosing, and appropriateness; enter/verify orders in the computer system and dispense medications in a timely manner.
• Document clinical activities and interventions such as consults and patient teachings per policy.
• Verify and check medications prepared by other pharmacy personnel.
• Communicate drug information to patients and health professionals and resolve drug-related problems with licensed providers.
• Maintain a working knowledge to provide clinical services for all age groups and stay current with automated systems.
