Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist PRN to provide patient-focused pharmaceutical care across clinics and hospital units. The role includes reviewing orders, dispensing medications, and optimizing therapy while adhering to safety and cost criteria.

The position may offer up to ~20 hours per week based on clinical needs, with shifts spanning morning, afternoon, and late evening on weekdays. A PGY1 residency is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Pharmacists with focus on direct patient care and medication therapy.
• Experience in regulatory compliance and quality processes is desirable.
• PGY1 residency completion is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review drug orders and prescriptions for safety and cost effectiveness.
• Dispense medications and provide drug information to patients and providers.
• Maintain quality and safety of clinical pharmacy services in assigned areas.
• Supervise support staff and verify accuracy of dispensed medications.
• Adhere to hospital policy and regulatory requirements.
