Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Temporary Staff Pharmacist to support the Complex Care Services division. The role focuses on retail pharmacy and call center activities, with onsite work at Melrose Support Services. Expect Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm in a collaborative healthcare setting.

Responsibilities include reviewing orders, dispensing medications, and educating staff and patients while ensuring compliance with regulations and hospital policy.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist license required in Tennessee.
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Less than 1 year of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Reviews drug orders to ensure safe, appropriate and cost‑effective medication use.
• Optimizes medication preparation and resolves medication‑related problems for patients.
• Prepares and dispenses medications and provides drug information per policy.
• Supervises support personnel and verifies accuracy before dispensing.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.
