Job summary
HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress is seeking a clinical pharmacist to lead the clinical pharmacy functions, develop and implement programs, and oversee drug usage processes within the department. The role requires collaboration with physicians, staff, and leadership to improve patient care quality and efficiency.
The successful candidate will coordinate Pharmacy and Therapeutics committee activities, advance clinical services, and support distributive operations to ensure seamless patient
Qualifications
- Licensed pharmacist with valid credentials.
- Bachelor's or Doctorate in Pharmacy required.
- IV certification required.
Responsibilities
- Develops and coordinates the clinical functions of pharmacy practice and drug usage.
- Assesses department clinical needs and designs programs to improve staff skills.
- Assesses drug usage processes to identify quality and financial improvement opportunities.
- Initiates and evaluates new clinical programs for the department.
- Participates in Pharmacy and Therapeutics and other committees and coordinates activities.
- Assists in integrating clinical services with distributive functions of the department.
- Performs distributive functions with staff pharmacists and technicians as needed.
