Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake is seeking a Pharmacist to lead clinical functions of the Pharmacy Department, offering guidance and accountability from a clinical perspective to patients, physicians, staff and stakeholders receiving pharmacy services.

The role focuses on developing and coordinating clinical programs, assessing drug usage processes, and driving improvements in quality and efficiency while collaborating with hospital committees and leadership.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist license required.
• Bachelor's Degree or Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy.
• No travel required.
• IV certification required.
• 2 years of experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical functions for the Department of Pharmacy.
• Provides structure, guidance, and accountability from a clinical standpoint to patients, physicians, employees, visitors and investors who receive pharmacy services.
• Assesses department clinical needs and designs programs to improve clinical staff skills.
• Evaluates drug usage processes and implements improvements for quality and financial outcomes.
• Coordinates Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee activities with chair and director of pharmacy.
