Job summary

Penn Medicine, a leading academic medical center in Philadelphia, seeks a pharmacist to provide comprehensive medication management for inpatients and outpatients. You will review physician orders, dispense medications, maintain accurate patient profiles, and monitor therapies to optimize outcomes.

You will oversee pharmacy technicians and students, participate in drug utilization evaluations, counsel patients, and stay current with evolving pharmacy practices and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Current licensure in the State of Pennsylvania.
• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy and 3+ years Prior hospital pharmacy experience required.
• Pharm.D from an accredited College of Pharmacy and Prior hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews physician medication orders accurately (computerized, written, and telephone).
• Interprets drug allergies, dosages, interactions, and polypharmacy; clarifies orders with physicians as needed.
• Supervises pharmacy technicians and students; ensures accuracy before dispensing.
