Job summary

Haywood Regional Medical Center - A Duke LifePoint Hospital in North Carolina is seeking a Pharmacist to contribute to clinical pharmacy services across ICU, PCU/Cardiac, and Emergency Department teams. You will collaborate to optimize medication therapy, improve patient outcomes, and support continuous quality improvement.

The position requires a PharmD and NC license, with BLS within 30 days and ACLS/PALS within six months. One year of experience is preferred, ASLS certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Pharmacy (PharmD) is required.
• Active North Carolina pharmacy license is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire is required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications within six months of hire are required.
• One year of experience in pharmacy is preferred.
• ASLS certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages drug therapy protocols as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Reviews, interprets and evaluates medication orders to identify and resolve drug-related problems.
• Provides drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, patients, and pharmacy students.
• Documents interventions and their outcomes for drug therapy quality improvement.
• Evaluates medication orders for accuracy prior to order entry.
• Checks accuracy after filling by technicians.
