Job summary

Haywood Regional is seeking a Pharmacist to join the 24-hour hospital pharmacy team. You will participate in clinical pharmacy services across ICU, PCU/Cardiac, and the Emergency Department, ensuring safe and effective medication use.

Responsibilities include managing drug therapy protocols, reviewing orders, providing drug information to staff and patients, and documenting interventions for quality improvement. North Carolina licensure is required.

Qualifications

• PharmD and active NC pharmacy license.
• Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages drug therapy protocols as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Reviews, interprets and evaluates medication orders for safety and accuracy.
• Provides drug information and education to staff, patients and students.
• Documents interventions and outcomes for quality improvement.
• Checks for accuracy after filling by technicians.
