Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist PRN to provide expert clinical pharmacy services within the hospital. You will support patients, physicians, and staff through clinical leadership and collaboration with the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.

In this role you will develop and coordinate clinical pharmacy programs, assess drug usage processes, and help implement improvements to ensure high quality and cost-effective care. Travel is not required.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist with a degree and licensure.
• IV certification required.
• No travel required.
• 2 years experience required.

Responsibilities

• Develops and coordinates clinical functions of pharmacy practice and drug usage within the department.
• Designs, develops, and implements programs to improve clinical staff skills.
• Assesses drug usage processes and implements improvements for quality and cost efficiency.
• Initiates and evaluates new clinical programs for the department.
• Participates in Pharmacy and Therapeutics, Medication Safety, and Infection Control committees and coordinates activities.
• Assists in integrating clinical services with distributive functions.
• Performs distributive functions with staff pharmacists and technicians as needed.
