Job summary

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center is seeking a Full-time Clinical Pharmacist for the Central Pharmacy in Williamsburg, VA. Rotating shifts include an 8-hour schedule with weekend and holiday coverage, possibly 6am–11pm and occasional overnights.

The pharmacist will manage patient drug therapy, provide drug information, counsel patients, and participate in education of staff, while aligning with policy and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy required.
  • Doctorate in Pharmacy preferred.
  • Virginia Pharmacist License required.
  • BLS/ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, effective pharmacy services to patients.
  • Counsel patients and educate on medications.
  • Review provider orders for safety and appropriateness.
  • Maintain knowledge of medications and disease states relevant to area.
  • Precept pharmacy students as assigned.

City/StateWilliamsburg, VAWork ShiftRotatingOverview:Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center is hiring a Full-time Clinical Pharmacist for the Central Pharmacy in Williamsburg, VA.Status: Full TimeShift: Rotating (8 hour Shift)Weekend RotationHoliday Rotation*Hours may vary to meet needs of the pharmacy, may be required to work within the hours of 6am-11pm and provide occasional overnight and weekend coverage as needed.The Clinical Pharmacist is responsible and accountable for the provision of safe, effective, and prompt pharmacy services.
