Responsibilities

• Evaluates medication orders for accuracy and resolves discrepancies with physicians, pharmacists or nursing staff.
• Prepares IV admixtures and sterile products including cytotoxic drugs.
• Provides drug information and counsels patients/families as needed.
• Monitors drug therapy for safety and efficacy under supervision of senior pharmacist/manager.
• Ensures compliance with laws, regulations and department policies.
