Job summary

Day Kimball Health in Putnam, CT is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy department and support medication management for patients in a community hospital setting.

Under the supervision of the Pharmacy Director, you will review prescriptions, supervise technicians, ensure accuracy, and participate in quality assurance programs. Eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $25,000 and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy required.
• Licensed in the state of Connecticut or eligible for reciprocity (with licensure received within 90 days of hire or less).
• Pervious hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Compounds medications using standard formulas and processes.
• Reviews prescriptions to assure accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients.
• Directs pharmacy technicians engaged in mixing, packaging, and labeling.
• May assay medications to determine identity, purity, and strength.
• Enters data to maintain pharmacy files, charge system, and inventory.
• Answers questions and provides information to customers on drug interactions and storage.
