Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a licensed pharmacist to support pharmaceutical services across the medical center. The role involves dispensing medications, verifying orders, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with physicians and nurses to optimize therapy.

You will work within a hospital pharmacy environment, using HBOC and Omnicell systems, and ensure compliance with dosing, chemotherapy, and IV admixture policies.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist with IDFPR license.
• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Check all medications leaving the department for quality assurance.
• Possess working knowledge of chemotherapy agents and hyperalimentation.
• Knowledge of IV admixture and narcotic control.
• Knowledge of investigational drugs and therapeutic drug monitoring.
• Ensure accurate order entry and dosing verification in the system.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals regarding orders and drug interactions.
• Collaborate to provide cost-effective drug therapy and update pharmacy services.
• Oversee technicians operating Omnicell and enter medications into HBOC.
• Dose medications in pharmacokinetic dosing service and monitor adverse drug reactions.
