Job summary

Orlando Health Melbourne Hospital in Melbourne, FL is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join our patient-centered team. You will perform basic pharmacy procedures in line with Orlando Health policies and coordinate pharmaceutical care across units.

The role emphasizes pharmacotherapy, patient counseling, medication safety, and collaboration with physicians, nurses and other health professionals to support safe, effective patient care. Florida licensure renewal every two years is required.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree (B.S. or PharmD) required.
• Hospital experience is preferred.
• Must be licensed by the Florida Board of Pharmacy, renewed every two years.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding of safety, emergency and risk management procedures.
• Dispenses medications and intravenous fluids according to policy and procedures.
• Documents in systems according to guidelines and quality improvement programs.
• Interacts with patients and healthcare teams to support pharmacotherapy and patient care.
• Maintains knowledge of department computer systems and applications.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
