Job summary

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree with PharmD or B.S. and licensing.
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Continuing education to maintain licensure.
• Strong math, analytical skills and medication knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medications per physician requests.
• Interpret orders and update computerized medication profiles.
• Dispense sterile, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition medications.
• Issue and record controlled substances as required.
• Monitor therapies for contraindications, interactions and allergies.
• Provide clinical consultations and drug information.
• Document actions and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Supervise pharmacy staff and support personnel.
• Educate practitioners and participate in on-call emergencies.
