Nationwide Children's Hospital seeks a pharmacist to manage medication dispensing for ambulatory and hospital care, review orders, and prepare IV admixtures. This role includes supervising pharmacy technicians and collaborating with care teams to ensure safe, effective medication use.

The pharmacist will document all care activities in the electronic health record, provide drug information to staff and patients, and participate in on-call duties. Ohio licensure is required or eligible.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree required; Ohio licensure or eligibility.
• Licensed pharmacists since before 2004 may qualify with a Bachelor’s degree.

Responsabilités

• Dispense medications for NCHH patients; receive orders and calculate dosing for IV admixtures, injectables, and TPN.
• Oversee pharmacy technicians and interns in sterile compounding and training.
• Coordinate with patients, families, nursing staff, discharge planners and prescribers for needed supplies and equipment.
• Develop and maintain a medication list and individualized plan of care; document outcomes in the EHR.
• Provide drug information to health professionals, patients, and caregivers.
