Qualifications

Doctor of Pharmacy degree is required or licensed pharmacist with equivalent qualifications.
Licensed or licensure-eligible to practice pharmacy in Ohio.
Immunization administration certification required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 6 months of hire.
Community pharmacy experience or internship preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversees pharmacy technicians and interns in prescription data entry, prior authorizations, billing issue resolution, and prescription preparation.
Reviews outpatient prescriptions for appropriate dosage based on child size/weight; consults physician if dosage is uncertain.
Dispenses medications and counsels caregivers; reviews patient profiles and manages potential medication issues.
Obtains insurance information and troubleshoots barriers.
Provides drug information to health professionals, patients, and caregivers.
