Graduate of a school of pharmacy; PharmD preferred; AL license required; strong calculation and aseptic technique skills; daily computer order entry and collaborative practice with medical staff are essential.

The Clinical Pharmacist shall be responsible for conducting clinical pharmacy services and ensuring that the pharmacy provides optimal clinical services on a daily basis. The Clinical Pharmacist will work with the Manager, Pharmacy to facilitate the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems that promote desirable patient outcomes through the use of safe, cost-effective drug therapies. This position may have additiona duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
Graduate of a school of pharmacy required, PharmD degree preferred (or 2-3 years clinical experience).
Active RPH required, Alabama Controlled Substance certification required, BLS required ACLS required, BPS preferred, Additional certifications (PALS, NRP, etc) may be required depending upon area assigned.
Position requires sitting for 30% of the workday and mobility 70% of the workday.
There is occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
There is frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action.
There is a continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person.
Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range.
Inside protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Minimal noise levels. Background noise may be low level but distracting.
Much exposure to computer work.
Minimal exposure to hazardous chemicals.
