Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking a clinical pharmacist to provide comprehensive medication management, education, and research support. This role reports to an immediate supervisor/manager and collaborates across clinical, operational, financial, safety, and education domains.

The position emphasizes safe, effective pharmacotherapy, formulary stewardship, and supervision of pharmacy technicians.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) degree; OR Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSPharm) degree with 3 years hospital experience.
• Massachusetts licensure to practice pharmacy.
• ASHP Accredited Residency in Pharmacy Practice (PGY1) is recommended.
• Pharm.D. degree with minimum of 1 year of hospital experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive medication management services in collaboration with the health care team.
• Ensures timely dispensing and accurate preparation of medications across the pharmacy setting.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and contribute to formulary management and cost control.
• participate in regulatory activities and provide education to staff and patients.
