Job summary

Endeavor Health’s Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist for the Emergency Department per diem. You will work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.

The ideal candidate holds Illinois pharmacist license, PharmD or equivalent, and has at least one year of hospital or ED experience. BLS is preferred; Pharmacy Residency is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois Pharmacist license.
• Pharmacy Practice Residency or equivalent experience preferred.
• At least one year of experience as a registered pharmacist or hospital experience.
• ED experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Dispense medication in response to a physician's order.
• Provide clinical pharmacy services including drug information, preparing doses and checking work done by a technician prior to dispensing.
• Prepare, compound and dispense medication consistent with department policy and rules and regulations promulgated by the Board of Pharmacy, Department of Public Health, and JCAHO.
