Job summary

UMass Memorial Health seeks a pharmacist to advance antimicrobial stewardship and collaborate with clinical teams across a hospital setting. The role focuses on optimizing antimicrobial use, leading program assessments, and developing protocols to support antibiotic decisions for clinicians.

Eligible candidates hold the MA pharmacy license and a PharmD or BS from an accredited school. The position is non-exempt, full-time, with a daytime shift and potential signing bonus.

Qualifications

• Current valid license to practice pharmacy in Massachusetts.
• BS Degree or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from an AACP accredited college of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Enhance the quality of medication use through antimicrobial stewardship programs with clinical pharmacists and staff.
• Assist with program assessments, utilization reviews, and interventions to optimize antimicrobial use.
• Contribute to infectious disease protocols and antibiotic decision-support for clinicians.
• Prepare reports documenting the impact of stewardship on quality, safety and cost.
