Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Massachusetts seeks a Clinical Specialist, Pharmacist to provide comprehensive medication management, education, and research support. The role integrates patient care with teaching and program development in a collaborative hospital setting.

The incumbent will focus on improving patient safety and outcomes, cost containment, and practice advancement. Requires PharmD and ASHP residency; board certification in the specialty is preferred where available.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist with Doctor of Pharmacy and completion of an ASHP-accredited residency.
• Nationally recognized certification in specialty area when available.
• Experience in clinical pharmacy practice and outcomes improvement.

Responsibilities

• Maintains an active practice in a focused clinical area.
• Leads or participates in hospital committees and projects affecting patient outcomes.
• Develops clinical guidelines and SOPs; supports education and research.
• Precepts pharmacy students and residents; contributes to publications or presentations.
