Job summary

HCA Florida West Tampa Hospital is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to deliver comprehensive clinical pharmacy services within our acute-care setting in Tampa, FL. The role emphasizes safe procurement, preparation and distribution of medications, with close collaboration among physicians and the care team.

Candidates should hold a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy and be licensed or license-eligible in Florida. Experience in hospital pharmacy and knowledge of narcotic controls are preferred.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist degree required or eligible for licensure in Florida.
• Experience in acute-care hospital settings preferred.
• NAPLEX eligibility required.
• Strong clinical pharmacy and pharmacotherapy knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical pharmacy services for all patients.
• Review medication orders for appropriateness, dosage and interactions.
• Monitor narcotics transactions and reconcile quantities.
• Coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs.
• Ensure safe dispensing of medications per age-related guidelines.
• Support development and maintenance of clinical pharmacy programs.
