Aiken Regional Medical Centers in Aiken, SC, seeks a Pharmacist to provide expert pharmaceutical care in an acute care setting. You will manage medication order accuracy, stay current with pharma developments, and support cost-effective therapeutic decisions.

The role includes supervising staff, ensuring safe drug therapy, and contributing to pharmacokinetic consults per hospital protocol. SC licensure required, Pharm.D. preferred.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist with BS in Pharmacy; Pharm.D. preferred.
• 1–3 years hospital experience preferred.
• Current SC pharmacist license.
• Pyxis experience with Pyxis reports preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interprets medication orders and transcribes to patient profiles.
• Reviews developments in pharmacy and healthcare relevant to duties.
• Supports pharma-coeconomic efforts and reviews targeted medications.
• Monitors drug therapy for interactions, allergies, and appropriateness.
• Assists with pharmacokinetic consults and dosing per protocol.
• Provides clinical consultation and cost-effective therapeutic alternatives.
• Supervises pharmacy technicians and verifies orders, IV admixtures and chemo before release.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
