Job summary

Hillcrest Hospital South in Tulsa, OK is seeking a night shift, full-time Clinical Pharmacist to join our team. The role supports med-surg in a decentralized pharmacy model, dispensing medications, and providing drug information under the direction of the Pharmacy leadership.

The ideal candidate has ACPE-accredited education, hospital clinical experience, and an active pharmacist license. Residency or fellowship is preferred; alternatively 2+ years of clinical pharmacy experience with licensure

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy or B.S./PharmD with ACPE accreditation.
• Clinical hospital pharmacy experience required.
• Residency/fellowship or 2+ years of clinical experience with appropriate licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, cost-effective pharmaceutical care and drug information.
• Oversee pharmacy technicians and support staff in a decentralized med-surg setting.
• Dispense medications and participate in IV admixture programs under supervision of Pharmacy Director.

Responsibilities:

The clinical pharmacist optimizes patient care by providing appropriate, safe, and cost effective pharmaceutical care including drug dispensing, IV admixture program, and providing drug information. Works under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy and/or the Pharmacy Operations Manager and will oversee the work of pharmacy technicians, students, and support staff. This is a decentralized position supporting med surg.

Qualifications:

Job Requirements

• B.S. or Pharm D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting.
• Completion of an accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy residency or fellowship.

OR

• 2+year’s clinical pharmacy experience with no history of residency or fellowship.
• Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy.
• Other applicable state requirements - i.e. sterile compounding, etc.
• BLS &ALS/ACLS certification (BLS required within 90 days of hire;ALS/ACLS required for attending Code Blue).

Preferred Job Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy.
