Job summary

MercyOne Clinton Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join our team. You will ensure safe and effective medication therapy for patients, provide consultation to physicians and staff, and oversee the medication use process in your area.

Join a full-service community health system with a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care. A Iowa license and PharmD or equivalent experience are preferred; 40 hours per week on rotating shifts with full benefits.

Qualifications

• State of Iowa Pharmacist License.
• Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy; completion of 1 year's pharmacy internship.
• Pharmacist must have BS Pharmacy degree, PharmD, ASHP accredited residency or significant clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication therapy for all patients.
• Provide consultation to physicians, nursing staff, and patients.
• Be responsible for the medication use process of preparing and dispensing medications and solving problems.
• Direct the day-to-day operations in their assigned areas and lead pharmacy staff as needed.

As a Pharmacist at MercyOne, you will:

• Ensure safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication therapy is implemented for all patients in their care and monitor care appropriately
• Provide consultation to physicians, nursing staff, and patients to promote positive outcomes
• Be responsible for the medication use process of preparing and dispensing medications and solving problems in the medication use process for patients and the organization
• Be responsible for the day-to-day operations in their assigned areas and direct the efforts of other pharmacy associates as appropriate to meet patient needs

Schedule

• 40 hours a week
• Rotating shifts

General Requirements

• State of Iowa Pharmacist License
• Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy; completion of 1 year's pharmacy internship
