Job summary

The Department of Periodontics at Texas A&M University College of Dentistry invites applications for a full-time Academic Professional Track (non-tenure) position, with appointment beginning on or after June 1, 2027. Candidates will supervise clinical activities and participate in predoctoral and graduate teaching.

Responsibilities include mentoring students, contributing to didactic and clinical teaching up to 32 hours per week, engaging in clinical research, and service activities.

Qualifications

• DDS or equivalent degree is required.
• MS/MSc or equivalent from a US-accredited program.
• Certificate in Periodontics from a CODA-accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Supervise clinical activities, oversee patient care, and direct clinical operations.
• Participate in predoctoral dental and undergraduate dental hygiene teaching (didactic and clinical).
• Evaluate student performance and professionalism; supervise clinical progress.
• Mentor and participate in periodontal graduate didactic and clinical teaching and research activities.
