Job summary

Tampa General Hospital is seeking a Clinical Perfusionist for Cardiac Perfusion Services on-site at the TGH Main Campus in Tampa, FL. The role supports CPB procedures, ECMO and related bypass techniques within the Surgical Services division.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited perfusion training program with current ABCP certification, prepared to work under medical staff supervision in a fast-paced operating room environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited perfusion training program.
• Current National certification from the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusionists required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with procedures requiring cardiopulmonary bypass, ECMO, Cell Saver and related bypass procedures.
• Assemble, care for and maintain all perfusion supplies, instruments and equipment before, during and after procedures.
• Clean and maintain perfusion equipment; assist with ordering and stocking supplies in surgical suites.
• Administer medications under the physician's direction.

Description

Under general supervision of the medical staff, following policies, procedures and professional guidelines, assists with all procedures requiring the use of Cardio-Pulmonary Bypass, ECMO, Cell Saver and other related Bypassprocedures. Provides, assembles and cares for all perfusion supplies, instruments and equipment before, during and after procedures, cleans and maintains all perfusion equipment, and assists perfusion team leader with ordering and stocking all perfusion supplies and equipment in the surgical suites. Administers medication under the direction of the physician. Responsible for performing Job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Perfusion Training program.

Current National certification from the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusionists required.
