Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare in Tallahassee, FL, is seeking a certified perfusionist to operate the heart-lung machine during cardiac and other bypass surgeries. The role focuses on maintaining optimal physiological and metabolic support for cardiac surgical patients.

You will report to the Director of Perfusion and collaborate with surgical teams. Minimum education includes a biology or perfusion degree; ABCP certification and at least two years of perfusion experience are required;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology or Perfusion from an accredited program.
• ABCP certification required.
• Two years as a certified clinical perfusionist.

Responsibilities

• Operates the heart-lung machine during cardiac surgery.
• Supports the physiological and metabolic needs of cardiac surgical patients.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

Job Summary:

Operates the heart-lung machine during cardiac surgery and other surgeries that require cardiopulmonary bypass. The main responsibility is to support the physiological and metabolic needs of the cardiac surgical patient.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY

Minimum Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Biology or Perfusion from an accredited perfusion program.

Minimum Experience:

• Two (2) years as a certified clinical perfusionist.

Preferred:

• Three (3) or more years experience.

Certification though the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion
