Qualifications

• Lead or supervisory experience required, with ability to direct staff in a health care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical or therapeutic care, direct and indirect diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to patients, following physicians' instructions.
• Coordinate the work and activities of assigned staff, including setting performance expectations in day-to-day operations.
• Provide guidance and direction to staff and encourage mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members.
• Assist patients with their daily living activities and administer basic health care or treatments.
• Participate in therapeutic or recreational group activities.
• Oversee admitting and discharging of patients.
• Monitor physical and emotional well-being of patients and report unusual behavior or ailments; prepare and maintain progress records.
• Observe and influence patient behavior through communication, interaction, teaching and counseling.
• Encourage patients to participate in social, recreational, or other therapeutic activities to develop interpersonal skills and independence.
• Lead or co-lead individual or group sessions as part of recreational or therapeutic procedures.
• Collaborate with other staff to treat, rehabilitate and return patients to the community.
• May provide transportation for patients as needed.
• Demonstrate a positive, empathetic, professional attitude; address complaints and prioritize patient safety.
